Originally from the south side of Chicago, she made Detroit home in 2015 and has since fallen in love with the city and its vibrant community. Her journey with Pilates began over 20 years ago following a back injury, when it was recommended as an alternative to traditional physical therapy. What started as recovery quickly became a lifelong practice. Since then, Becca has leaned on Pilates as a powerful tool to support her physical health, manage pain, and nurture her mental well-being. A true believer in the method, Becca views Pilates as both an effective and enjoyable form of movement; one that meets you exactly where you are, whether you’re a beginner or an elite athlete. Her classes are designed to be a space where clients feel supported, safe, and empowered, while still being thoughtfully challenged and encouraged to grow. Becca is excited to begin her teaching journey at Sculpt Pilates and to share the transformative benefits of Pilates with the community. She believes that reconnecting to our bodies with intention is a powerful way to support how we show up for ourselves and our communities. Her classes are grounded in curiosity, intentionality, and compassion, creating an environment where clients can explore movement in a way that feels both supportive and empowering. And of course, her thoughtfully curated playlists are always a vibe. Katherine has loved Pilates since first discovering it in college and has continued to deepen her practice over the years with her original instructor. Before joining Sculpt Pilates, Katherine spent nearly a decade working in Detroit’s nonprofit and community development space, most recently helping Detroiters access home repair grants and property tax assistance resources. That same dedication to supporting others carries into her approach in the studio, meeting clients where they are and guiding them with care and intention. Katherine’s classes emphasize continuous learning, full-body engagement, and precise, intentional movement.
